The Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD), in collaboration with the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), successfully conducted the assessment for the ABAD–NAVTTC Industry-Led Training Program at Trace Pakistan.
Under this industry-focused initiative, trainees in BIM, AutoDesk Revit, Building Electrician, and Plumbing completed their final assessments, demonstrating the technical knowledge, practical competencies, and hands-on expertise developed through structured, industry-aligned training.

A meeting was held at Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD) House on February 17, 2026, to deliberate on the proposals prepared by ABAD., present to Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA). The session was chaired by Chairman ABAD, Muhammad Hassan Bakshi, along with Convener of the SBCA Sub-Committee, Mustafa Sheikhani. Committee members and other ABAD members actively participated in the discussion, reviewing key proposals and sharing constructive recommendations to ensure practical and effective regulatory improvements.

A high-level luncheon meeting was held at ABAD House by the Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD) with DG National Accountability Bureau Rawalpindi Waqar Ahmed Chauhan and DG National Accountability Bureau Karachi Shakeel Ahmed Durrani to deliberate on the critical issue of illegal land encroachments faced by ABAD members.
The meeting was chaired by Chairman ABAD Mohammed Hassan Bakshi, along with Senior Vice Chairman Syed Afzal Hameed, Vice Chairman Tariq Aziz, Chairman Southern Region Ahmed Owais Thanvi, former Chairman Mohsin Shaikhani, Junaid Ashraf Taloo & Arif Shaikhani members of ABAD and media representatives.

An ABAD delegation visited the Build Asia International Exhibition & Conference at the Expo Center, Karachi. The delegation included Vice Chairman ABAD Tariq Azia, Chairman Southern Region Ahmed Owais Thanvi, along with former Chairman ABAD Junaid Ashraf Talon, former Vice Chairman ABAD Rixwan Adhia, and former Chairmen (Southern Region) Engr. Danish Bin Rauf and Raheel Rinch. The delegation met industry stakeholders and reviewed the latest developments in the construction sector.

Recognizing skills and strengthening Pakistan’s workforce , Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan , in collaboration with National Vocational Technical Training Commission , successfully conducted an RPL certification activity, through their training partner, Trace Pakistan.
Through this initiative, 11 plumbers were formally certified under the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) program in collaboration with Popular Pipes Group.

On January 20, 2026, at ABAD House, the Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD) signed an MoU with Landtrack.pk, the organising force behind the 6th PropTech Convention, to strengthen Pakistan’s real estate ecosystem through technology and industry collaboration. The ceremony was attended by Syed Afzal Hameed (Senior Vice Chairman, ABAD), Ahmed Owais Thanvi (Chairman Southern Region, ABAD), Atif Arafin (Founder, Landtrack.pk & PropTech Convention), and Hira Naeem (Convener, PropTech Convention).

On January 14, 2026, a five-member delegation from ABAD, led by Senior Vice Chairman Syed Afzal Hameed and Convener of Vocational Training Program Suleman Saleem, including ABAD member Jaan Muhammad Jeewa, visited NUTECH Islamabad to sign a Letter of Intent. The delegation was received by Brigadier Salman Zafar, Registrar NUTECH and was later introduced to Lt. Gen. Moazzam Ejaz (Retired), Rector NUTECH, Islamabad, for a detailed briefing.

A committee meeting was held at the commissioner karachi Office under the chairmanship of the Provincial Minister for Sindh Local Government, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, to discuss long-term solutions for addressing the issue of dangerous and most dangerous buildings in Sindh.
