A meeting of the Executive Committee (EC) of ABAD was held on Saturday, 12 September 2026, at ABAD House to discuss and formulate a comprehensive policy regarding similarity in the names of firms and companies seeking ABAD membership.
The meeting was attended by ABAD Chairman Mohammed Hassan Bakshi, Senior Vice Chairman Syed Afzal Hameed, Vice Chairman Tariq Aziz, Chairman Southern Region Ahmed Owais Thanvi, former Chairman Anwar Gagi, and members of the Executive Committee.

The Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD) hosted a high-level meeting at ABAD House on 11th September, 2026, bringing together Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi, including Additional IG Karachi Azad Khan, DIG South Syed Asad Raza, DIG West Irfan Ali Baloch, DIG East Farrukh Ali Lanjar, SSP SIU Samiullah Soomro, SSp East Zubair, Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Sajjad Ahmed Abro, Deputy Commissioner Korangi Masood Bhutto of all districts, and other senior officials.
The meeting was Chaired by Chairman ABAD Mohammed Hassan Bakshi along with Senior Vice Chairman Syed Afzal Hameed, Vice Chairman Tariq Aziz, Chairman Southern Region Ahmed Owais Thanvi, and also attended by former Chairmen ABAD Mohsin Shaikhani, Junaid Ashraf Taloo, Hanif Gohar, Fayyaz Ilays and Altaf Tai, Convener Law & Order Sub-Committee Syed Moiz Zaidi, Co-Convener Usman Khanani and a large number of ABAD members.

The Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD) conducted a meeting with its members to discuss Right of Way (ROW) permission matters related to the Frontier Works Organization (FWO). The meeting focused on the financial and operational challenges faced by members in ongoing construction projects and deliberated on key concerns and possible solutions. Members also discussed and finalized the matters to be taken up with FWO in the upcoming meeting, with the aim of reaching an amicable and practical resolution.

KARACHI: An important meeting was convened at ABAD House to discuss in detail the Rules & Regulations of SBCA and the Condominium Act, 2014, which has proceeded for legislation in the Sindh Assembly.
The meeting was chaired by Chairman ABAD Mohammed Hassan Bakshi and attended by Senior Vice Chairman Syed Afzal Hameed, Vice Chairman Tariq Aziz, Chairman Southern Region Ahmed Owais Thanvi, Convener SBCA Sub-Committee Mustafa Sheikhani and other ABAD members.
The meeting focused on reviewing the proposed rules and regulations and gathering valuable input from ABAD members for their finalization in consultation with relevant stakeholders.

ABAD Chairman Mr. Hasan Bakshi participated in the Launching Ceremony of Level 6 Qualifications at the National University of Technology (NUTECH), Islamabad.
The event was graced by Lt. Gen. Moazzam Ejaz, HI(M) (Retd), Rector NUTECH, and Mr. Jeroen Willems, Head of Cooperation, European Union Delegation to Pakistan.
The ceremony brought together key stakeholders from the skills development and technical education ecosystem, including the European Union, German Cooperation, GIZ, British Council, NAVTTC, NUTECH and the National Technology Council (NTC).
ABAD remains committed to supporting industry-led skills development, technical education and stronger collaboration between academia, industry and development partners.

The Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD), in collaboration with NAVTTC, Build Asia, Popular Pipes Group of Companies, and Trace Pakistan, successfully conducted a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) initiative to formally recognise the skills and experience of Pakistan’s skilled workforce.
A total of 459 skilled professionals were successfully certified in just three days (292 Plumbers | 167 Electricians), completely free of cost.The initiative provided experienced workers with an opportunity to obtain nationally recognised RPL certification, validating the knowledge and skills they have acquired through years of practical experience.

A proud milestone in recognizing Pakistan’s skilled workforce.
Under the ABAD–NAVTTC Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) initiative, implemented in collaboration with Popular Pipes Group of Companies and Trace Pakistan, 121 skilled workers successfully received their nationally recognized certifications, validating the knowledge and expertise they have gained through years of practical experience.
The ceremony was graced by Mr. Muhammad Hassan Bakshi, Chairman, ABAD, Mr. Tariq Aziz Memon, Vice Chairman, ABAD, and Mr. Ahmed Owais Thanvi, Chairman Southern Region, ABAD, along with Mr. Suleman Saleem, Convener, Vocational Training Programs Committee, whose leadership and continued support have been instrumental in advancing skills recognition across the construction sector.
