Meeting of the Law & Order Sub-Committee was held today at ABAD House, led by Chairman Southern Region Ahmed Owais Thanvi. During the meeting, newly appointed Convener of the Law & Order Sub-Committee, Syed Moiz Zaidi, was formally introduced to the committee members. The meeting focused on the prevailing law and order situation in Sindh, particularly Karachi, with special emphasis on the rising incidents of extortion and firing at construction sites. Members discussed the challenges facing the construction sector and stressed the need for improved security measures.

An in-house SBCA meeting was held today at ABAD House under the chairmanship of Chairman ABAD, Mohammed Hassan Bakshi. The meeting focused on the review and discussion of matters pending final approval, including the implementation and applicability of the Condominium Act. Senior Vice Chairman Syed Afzal Hameed, Vice Chairman Tariq Aziz, Chairman Southern Region Ahmed Owais Thanvi, Former Chairman Altaf Tai, Convener of the SBCA Sub-Committee Mustafa Sheikhani, committee members and other ABAD members actively participated in the deliberations.

SMEDA, under the SME Theme Specific Training Initiative, successfully conducted a comprehensive one-day training on Brand Building & Positioning (on a Small Budget) at ABAD House, Karachi.The workshop brought together 30 business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals from the construction industry and beyond, who actively participated in interactive discussions and practical learning sessions focused on building strong brands with limited resources. We extend our sincere gratitude to all participants for their active engagement and valuable contributions throughout the workshop. We also thank SMEDA for organizing and supporting this important capacity-building initiative, enabling SMEs to enhance their branding capabilities and drive sustainable business growth.

Chairman ABAD Mohammed Hassan Bakshi attended the Economic Diplomacy Forum’s high-level seminar, organised in collaboration with the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Karachi, to commemorate the 105th anniversary of the Communist Party of China (CPC). The event highlighted lessons from China’s remarkable development journey and explored new opportunities to further strengthen Pakistan-China economic cooperation and bilateral partnerships.

On this occasion, Executive Engineer Engineer Aziz Ahmed and Manager Administration Hamal Dawood welcomed the delegation. They provided a brief briefing on the role, objectives, ongoing projects, and industrial development matters of the Gwadar Industrial Estates Development Authority (GIEDA).
The visit concluded in a pleasant atmosphere, where matters of mutual interest were also discussed.
